Sir,
I beg leave to apply for the post of Attorney General or Puisne Judge in one of the Crown Colonies, and, in making this application, I would venture to respectfully draw attention to the fact that I have served for considerable periods in Acting Appointments in this Colony.
From June to December 1892 I was acting as Puisne Judge here.
My service as Acting Attorney General here extends over a period of more than two and a half years, which is made up as follows:-
January to December 1896 - 11 months

30th March 1901 to the present time (when I am holding the appointment as locum tenens for Mr. Goodman, who is home on leave) - 4 months
That is to say, I have served in this Colony for 6 months as Puisne Judge and for 31 months as Acting Attorney General.
I may mention also that I was appointed in June of last year, President of the Land Court, which is a

The Secretary of State for the Colonies.
